Eilen iltapäivällä koimme jännnityksen hetkiä - ei ainoastaan Helsingin ensilumen merkeissä. Työpäivän päätteeksi piipahdimme verhoilijan luona tekemässä viimeisiä materiaalivalintoja pienen rokokoo sohvasarjamme päivitys proggiksen tiimoilta.
As you may well know by now, I just love to collect old beautiful things, styling them seamlessly at home with modern design. And lucky enough, so does my beau. Such rewarding feeling to find something old, then being able to capture it's golden grace, managing to maintain that old spirit by just a petite update. You know, furbishing only the utterly necessary.
Yesterday afternoon me and beau, we experienced some super exciting moments at the tapissier among a petite heritage rococo ensemble update project of ours, making finally the closure decisions on fabrics.
Really difficult actually to decide; going through materials, being like a couple of kids in a candy store, suddenly finding ourselves surrounded by the most beautiful patterns and designs. Really have to focus on the purpose and demand - with this furniture we really wanted to be loyal on the original feel and layout. And I think we pulled it out pretty well too!.. (Don't worry, you'll later get to see the outcome, although most likely earliest in January as the work gets done.)
And as a matter of a fact,
just as if that wasn't awesome enough for one Tuesday,
we actually also got to embrace the first snowflakes in Helsinki!
Just how cool is that!
